I agree with the computer fan, cheap and not made for anything but a computer and most Ebay kits are as such. Use a Spal fan, this is what KTM uses in its hard part fan kit. It will not let you down and last for a long time.
The fan kit is nothing more than a bracket some fastening hardware and thermostat switch with a simple harness. You can also obsolete the thermostat if you have no port for installation in your rad and use a switch at your bars.
I am sure the kit from KTM or Husa/Husky would work fine and be most economical in the long run. You might have to do some simple mods to the bracket and harness but as long as you can find power and ground you will have no issues.
Should you find a good fan and need any help with the harness I would be pleased to help. I also found a thermostat (new) from my KTM days when helping another forum friend out with a connector issue and would be pleased to send to you if your rad has a port allowing. Just post is all I ask. I can also make a simple harness to plug and play if you send me a picture of your power source connector as I have allot of spare electrical kicking around might be able to make something work.
I always fan cool my bikes via thermostat as sometime we forget to flick the switch or can not during that gnarly hill, so thermostat has always worked for me.
