In Australia we had the throttle stop on top of the carbie slide which you remove and replace with the proper little spring loaded screw cap that holds the needle in the slide, ( supplied in the kit with the bike ) i have the part number if you want it.
At this time you replaced the needle for a richer number ( supplied ) and the pilot jet richer ( supplied ), some needed a richer mainjet ( 650 )
Then remove the restrictor plate from under the air filter and the mesh bung from the end of the exhaust.
you will know if these are installed because your bikes throttle will only turn one quarter and the motor will run like a busted ***, The jetting is supplied because they have to lean it off to run with this crap restriction stuff installed.
And also your gearing set is way to high 16-45 and run a shorter standard 520 DID chain
( alternative gearing is supplied 15-48 with a longer DID Xring chain cut to the right lenght )
This is done so the when they do a fly by test theses bikes pass a decibel meter and are only idling past at the set speed with no exhaust noise or induction noise from the airbox.
Its a load of nonsense as we rip it all out before we sell it to you and it takes up valuable time in your workshop.
Thats why you can ride a 650 Berg on your L plates at age 17 in Australia because its that gutless it alters the power to weight ratio to an acceptable level. I never sold one bike with them fitted.
So why bother the ADR department of Australias goverment office it is just and load of bueracratic ******** run by a mob of shiny arse pencil pushing government *********, justifying a job and wasting taxpayers money and trying to spoil our fun.
FOR SALE,,,, 16 and 45 sprockets and standard DID 520 chain,35 keihin pilot jets and Keihin needles.
ORANGEBERG
Its easy now with EFI they just alter the ECM mapping, your dealer unlocks this with his special $4000 computer that he has to buy out of his own pocket to sell the bikes.
