So I just purchased this fe650 and didn't check it out very good.
The shift shaft moves up/down, left/right about
1/16 inch. I went through all the mechanical posts back to early '05 but didn't find anything. Also, looking at the parts breakdown, there doesn't seem to be any real support for the shaft until the bearing inside the gearbox. The bike has 96hrs/2200 mi. on it. I will be taking the left side cover off to have a look probably tomorrow. Does any one have any ideas, experience with this? Do I have to split the cases to fix this? Thanks in advance.
