Hi All...
Whilst my FC550 is in pieces, my FE550 is deciding to throw a tantrum.
E-starting the other morning to take a run around town, bike mis-fired on the 3rd turn of the starter, and then i had no e-start... I am sure i heard a little fizz (thought fuse) but proceeded to Kick start it and do my run around, with maybe 5 or 6 re starts on the kicker, with no issues, and it still runs great.
trying the starter again midday today, and the start relay is buzzing/clicking rapidly just as it would with a flat battery.
i have re-charged the battery with the smart charger, and aside from the smart charger showing a battery fault, it is no longer buzzing/clicking rapidly when pressing the start button, it is making the normal positive sounding single click in the relay as if it should be throwing the starter moter into life, but i have no response at the starter.
I have scoured the electrical forum, and am no wiser.
I was initially thinking a relay issue but that seems to be working okay, fuses are fine, is there some other fusing anywhere? or maybe a starter issue i need to think about?
any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers!
Azza.
