Posting for a friend, I have not seen this personally.
My buddy just put a '05 550 starter in a '02 470 and it just spins and don't engage. Is there any reason this starter wouldn't work? Maybe some kind of mod needs to be done to it? Read the DOC and not sure if any of that applies. I'm assuming that the starter worked in the 550.
Any suggestions??
