'04 or ''05?

Is it correct the 05 is 630cc & the 04 650? Which one would you guys buy, (FE650e), not counting the 10% discount? Does the 05 still have about the same power, etc.? I don't know anything about them only what I've been reading. Need your guys opinion.

Hi.
628cc or 644cc, not much of a difference. Little bit better power on the 644cc. Both are OK. More than most riders need.
Call us for a 670cc strokerkit or wait until end of 2005 for the 707cc big bore kit.
Then the power really comes on.

Was the destroke on the '05s done for more reliability? Seems like I read that somewhere. The 670 stroker kit address that?

The destroke was supposed to address main bearing durability from what I have heard.

Wasn't something said earlier about the destroking in 05 to move the crank pin inboard a bit since the outer edge of the crank wheel was quite close to the pin on the 04 650. Also remember the addition of an oiler jet for the aux. drive shaft in 05. Both were done in the name of durability if I am remembering any of this correctly.

Sounds to me like the '05 is the way to go, although both sound great!
