04 FE450 Breather ?

I've searched the site...I'm afraid I have a few questions about the crankcase breather.

1. The valve cover has 2 hoses that join into a big, funny shaped piece. How/what is needed to modify?

2. Anybody have pictures?

3. Part numbers for any of the solutions???

Thank you in advance.

Go to the downloads page under the resource section on the left and you can download the parts manual for your year bike. Also, click on the unofficial tech page under community and there are pictures and ideas of what others have done with the breathe

Thanks for the tips. The unofficial tech link isn't working, at least for me.

Can somebody post a picture of what they blocked the frame hole with? The hole I have looks rather large (not just 5/8" in diameter).

It's a strange arrangement of two hoses that join together and make a huge boot.

Thank you.

Okay gents, I'm new to the berg lingo...so, can I have the kind of instructions for a schoolkid?

Cause all I've got so far is confused?>?>?>?

When I do my 05 450 I will be using a Y connector as the 04's and up have 2 vent hoses comming out of the valve cover as oposed to one on the earlier models.

I have heater hose connectors which can be obtained from Napa Auto Parts and also left over connectors from a 83 YZ250 coolant hose. I'll also be using the check valve but a K&N breather filter would work fine also.

What are you blocking the frame hole with?

What size are the fittings on the valve cover?

Will brass fittings cause problems?
