Hello, I need a good quality second hand clutch/transmission cover for my 04 fe 450. I've been given some leads from ss racing but I thought I'd put it on here too.
I'm not going to go into things too much, but to cut a long story short after my engine was totally mangled by some f***wits, it had to be completely rebuilt by dcr and ever since has been fine, running better than ever, except for the casing leaking oil slightly.
The people responsible for wrecking my bike apparently used tyre levers to get the casing apart when taking the cover off so along with many parts that were replaced was my original cover which was fine before they got their hands on it!
Anyway Dcr used a second hand cover to keep the cost down but the only problem is, is where it appears to have been welded around the lug it is leaking oil, not loads, but enough to stop me getting through scrutineering at enduro's, passing an mot or selling the bike eventually.
So it is probably a long shot but if anyone has a decent second hand cover thats not been welded, no leaks, dodgy bearings etc, or has a knackerd engine that I could use the cover from, could you let me know.
Alternatively if anyone knows of any decent breakers, I come across two so far but haven't had time to ring yet.
