'03 400cc / 04 450cc Compatability

My 04 FE 450 has just had bottom end failure and I've bought what I thought was a spare 450 (turns out is a 400) for dirt cheap.

Can any of the 400 engine parts be used on the 450 to save on the cost of new?

bottom end failure? so that will be mains right? well you wouldn't dare use the bearings again - both mains and out of the balancer, nor the big end so no.

if the 400 has two oil drain bungs it means that you have the 2003 and have the later gearbox shaft into the clutch and the later clutch. if one oil drain then the engine will be good for keeping as a door stopper.
