Nice cheap project bike here for someone. It's an 02 FC550 road registered with V5 in my name (no MOT). Needs a few bits and pieces to complete, and a bit of tinkering, but it's mostly complete and more importantly - runs!
Needs the following -
Headlight (same as loads of early KTM EXC/LC4's so should be easyto pick one up)
Tanks plastics/scoops and tank mounting bungs
Chain joining/split link + an extra link (I might have a complete chain the right size I can chuck on it - will have a look)

The following will need attention -
Brakes/clutch need bleeding
1 exhaust header is missing the insert/sleeve that slots into the cylinder head - should be possible to get a bit welded on easily
The wiring is a bit of a mess - luckily 2 complete wiring looms/harnesses are included so should be easy to patch together with the aid of a wiring diagram
It's fitted with a Keihin FCR41 that was previously on a 650, so will likely need some adjustment there
Forks are from a KTM 450SX, seals need replacing

Comes with a few extra parts - aftermarket exhaust silencer (MHP I think, needs a strap - universal ones are only £6 on ebay), complete extra wiring harness regulator/rectifier etc. + rear light (the extra CDI is the original FC one which is broken - included in case it's of use), original front caliper bracket in case you want to put off road wheels on.

I think that's pretty much it - if I remember any more, will post it up.
£900 I'd consider breaking it if anyone wants the engine?

Sorry mate - sold this a while back. I have got one of my other 550's up for sale now though. Can't put any photos up here as I haven't bothered to set up a new hosting site after photobucket decided to **** everyone over! Details here, or I can email pics. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1418431081708417/permalink/1967983986753121/?sale_post_id=1967983986753121

This is road registered with full V5 in my name, but not MOT'd. I got 2nd place this season in the EVO class in the British Supermoto Championship, and 9th place overall in the Clubman class on this bike (albeit with slightly different spec - different front brake/exhaust/shock/wheels). It's been ultra reliable - finished every race this year apart from 2. Those 2 were purely down to rider error (gear change lever fell off on lap 1 of one race because I'd forgotten to tighten it up, and ran out of fuel on the last lap of another race). The frame has been extensively braced/strengthened, and it's got a slipper clutch, Brembo 4 pot front brake + master cylinder. Standard exhaust headers/midpipe with an FP straight through "silencer". It's VERY loud - recommend finding a standard silencer for MOT's! There's one on ebay now I think for about £30. Plastics are a bit faded/tatty, do the job though. There are a few minor issues that need to be addressed -
Front brake needs bleeding (just got a new hose from Venhill, and haven't had a chance to bleed it yet - should be able to sort that).
Rear light not fixed yet or wired in.
Slight oil weep form the waterpump cover weep hole and from the gear change shaft (both cheap fixes, and relatively easy but fiddly).
Front disc is quite loose on it's bobbins, although there's hardly any wear to the disc itself (there's a company that supplies new oversize bobbins for around £25 I think).
The shock is enduro spec - this is the only spare one I've got.
Overall a great, cheap bike ideal for next year's EVO class or Give It A Go class. It's had new oil (Silkolene Pro 4) + and filter after every round. I've got some other parts which would be made available to the buyer - spare wheels/ offroad wheels + brake/exhaust system etc. £1750 - no offers.
