First off.. have been reading here for some while, i am so impressed with the amount of information here..

The story is as follows :)

I wanted to go Supermoto racing, but have newer benn on dirt before, so bought the FE400, and then the FE650 on impulse.. dumb idea, newbee on a FE650, cost me 5 ribs, and a broken hand :)

Well bought the FS450, a former UK NORA bike, and at last summer is comming to Denmark..

But what happens, after 4 hours my ´04 450 makes this, well BAD noise, i took i a part today, and found RHS main bearing wasted.. all rollers are there, but the inner part is badly worn.

To learn from this, what have caused this, and is there anything i can do to prevent this? i have seen Dale´s alligment issue. but is it only LHS that can be changed to ball bearings?

will take pictures tomorrow when i put the new rollers in. (of the destroyed one of course)

Thanks for fast reply NSMAN.

What type should be used? have searched here, and the SKF homepage..

Would like to put the 9ball bearing in.

You can use the 6206c3 ball bearing on both sides. 9 balls in the cage is the norm .
The is a gentleman in Greece named Takis who has much knowledge converting these FS engines to a wide ball bearing.
Kelsow on this site has a connection to him. PM kelsow!
