put a new rod kit in 20 hrs ago
found some flakes on the drainplug 2 oil changes in a row
lower end of the rod is a little larger than the original and lightly contacts the crank when the piston is under full steam I think on the power stroke.
it doesn't contact checking by hand so the crank flex must be huge, can't imagine it being anything else
not a big issue its "self corrected" by wear but something to check, click on the link for a closer look, this webpage view is cropped for some reason.
