Hey Guy's. I've searched for ever but cant find info/pictures of an Omero 6.2L fuel tank with the RM rad shrouds. I've seen it on Omero's site but its a poor picture at best. I happen to live only 15 minutes from the local motocross track :D and I'm looking for a slimmer option than the 10.5L factory tank as its a little fat and holds way more fuel than I'll need.
The 6.2L tank with the original Berg shrouds is ok but I'd like something a little different ( plus graphic's options are nearly endless for the Suzuki shrouds )
Anyone in Canada have an Omero tank and how'd you ship it from Itally ?

Thanks.

they only do the one 6.2 ltr tank.
the others are15, 7.2. or a hi polish 7.2.

in the past its been almost prohibitivly expensive to get them anywhere else other than europe, even in the uk.

most who have them have got them via ex-race team bikes as was the case with mine.

This is the tank I'm thinking of, listed as 6.2L Husaberg tank with RM shrouds right off Omero's site. Its cheaper as well than the 7.2L tank with Berg shrouds.Sorry about the bit of confusion as I listed the tank with Berg shrouds as a 6.2L tank in the original post.

what is the benefit of the aluminium tank....you cannot see the fuel level....why do the factory and other berg riders use the alloy tank when they could use the 7.5 litre husaberg plastic one.... what is the advantage???

its slimer and allows you to get further forward easier than even the OEM 7.5 ltre tank

did you hear about me slimming down my standard tank mate?

there's an old thread here somewhere about how i melted down the sides of my std tank and narrowed it right down. skinny as hell, holds 7.5 litres and cost me PPPPPHHHHHUUUUUUUCCCCKKKK AAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLL

regards

Taffy

Thanks Taffy. I may do just that, and get a Boss 4Gal tank for extended adventures...far easier to get the 4Gal tank than an Omero LOL

I like the idea of slimming the 10.5 litre tank down..... I have looked at the berg 7.5 litre in the brochure and it seems to hold the fuel higher than the 10.5. I notice the Omero on some pictures of the factory biles looks low like the 10.5 litre tank, but must be a lot slimmer. Heating the tank and then reducing it to fit the individual's knees sounds good... I have heard of putting hot water in tanks and pumping them up to get them bigger, but getting them smaller with heat sounds just as interesting.

Actually the only one I've seen...

If you're looking for the 6.2 liter tank I think you will be looking for a very long time. Like I said in an earlier post I have seen just one. But the larger 7.5l is fairly common.
If you find one and want help purchasing it or want me to look I'll gladly do my best :D
I have one myself that'll just take shelf space once I get the cash to get a 09 (or 10) bike

Jocke,

I would prefer the 6.2 but the 7.5 would be OK also. If you come across one let me know!

Thanks,

Mike

I finally got in contact with OmeroMoto. €130 for shipping is a deal killer for me! I really need to get a second hand one...
