Did anyone ever tried this tire sealant?

never tried Slime, but have used other types. Some rave about it. Its best to have it in your tires form the beginning, as the leaking air moved the 'slime' into the hole to block it. It will not 'fix' pinch flats, only cactus and smaller nails etc.

The only true way to avoid flats is to ride light footed or use bib mousse

I use it, but I really cant tell you how well it works. All of my flats are usually pinch flats. I have never gotten a flat from thorns, so maybe it works.Either that or it's my upmost respect for the fauna here in Arizona

Had a problem with air leaking out of the spokes on my trials bike They have a tubless tire with spokes that go thru the rim and a rubber band that seals. Riding trails, dirt mud and water get in the the spoke holes and cause them to leak I put slime in about 8 months ago and the leak has stopped.

Wouldn't that seriously effect the handling of the bike (I'm going to trail ride it - not more then that , no street use either )? if not that can be a great idea - just to put the stuff from the beginning and at least eliminate one of the problems

I hared mousse goes only to the front tire - is that true?

Thanks

You use bibs front and rear. :)

They actually used to sell a similar product for wheel balancing... but no worries. I ride on lots of cactus the size of a large orange, with 1.5 inch needles, and the tubes won't leak down over a week, although they do over longer periods of time. Its really the onlyway to use it, by preinstalling the goooooo. ATVs that don't have the ggggoooooo in them from the start, take a number of inflations to fill the needle holes.

I've been using slime in combination with the Bridgestone 4mm tubes for several years now, and have had no flats with that combination since 2001.

Don't worry about the wheel balancing, it spreads itself out evenly with the centrifugal force of the spinning tire.

There are two types, one for tubes and one for tubeless, so be sure you get the slime for tube type tires.

Mate used some once on his bike and it got him home safely and the tyre was still inflated about 4 weeks later. Makes one helluva mess though when it comes time to changing that tyre.
