From a recent trip out to western Kangaroo Island, took the berg out marroning (marron are like yabbies or craw, they were introduced from Western Australia, and now are prolific in the rivers and creeks, they fetch about $A35 per kilo, and are farmed extensively), and what could be more fun than going on a 'berg? did need a better method of tying the nets to the bike, they got a bit out of controll racing across an open whooped out sand track, ha ha, cant occy strap nets onto the back of a bike with an airbox, another moot point that bergs are better!
Result - delicious, marron tails, pan fried in butter, garlic, chilli, parsley, lime juice and verjuice(wine-like vinigar stuff) and a hint of black pepper.
a cook book is now on my list of things to do before I die.
