Victory!!?? Opening Round 6 Hr Ice Race Series

Hey guys, thanks for the props. We'll do our very best to make the family proud.
We've been taking pictures and video all season whenever we can (the days at the race are very busy). I'm pretty sure I can convince Jay to make an end of season teaser video of all our footage. Jay, I know I personnal could use the vid for motivation during those long, warm summer days. You know, something to get my mind off those perfect traction days at the mx track. :)

After meeting Jay with you at last man standing, I must admit that he is one of the more "energetic" people that I've met lately and he obviously puts the same enthusiasm in his riding.

Indeed! I couldn't believe Jay's energy at Moab last year. While most of us yanks were struggling in certain sections of Pritchett Canyon, Jay was singing along with his mp3 and almost seemed bored. Of course, the Canadians at Moab were riders of a whole nother level! (Fry, Nick, Jay etc.)

Thanks for the write-up Nick! Keep up the good work.

(anyone know where I can get ahold of a clapped-out kx 500)?

The only site I've found with pictures of the race is at:

Yep, Nick and Jay have come a long way in just a few years. It is good to see them push the Todd and Joe team.

Met the guy who owns the old Kwacker 500 this weekend. Guess it was an oversize 520 cylinder on it he bought off of ebay. They finished 2nd with it at last year's 24 hour Numb bum race and needed to repair the cylinder - I love 2 strokes but think that team should switch to a 4 stroke. When they were on the Honda 4 stroke back up bike, they were catching one of the fastest ice riders in Alberta, Andy Demmski I think, just before they threw a chain. Get with the new and rid of the old. Sell both bikes and buy a 4 stroke!!!
The rough track may have played are part on a lot of the bikes this weekend. Lots were hauled in on the back of the plow trucks.
This ice racing sure is incredible to watch. Just walking up and down pit row you can feel the intensity and energy. I may go to Chip Lake to watch the final round. It's out north of Drayton Valley or something isn't it? Guess I better buy a digital camera to take some pictures as well!!

Congrats Husaberg boys!! Now go out there and kick the KTM teams' butt this weekend!!

A friend sent me a couple of pics from Telford 2...
