I have found that my bike starts and runs better with the standard NGK plug. It is important to me because I have removed the electric start! I think Poodle hunting should be legalized!

If the ngk dcpr8e runs well I still wonder why the IXU24 wouldn't, unless it runs cooler than the dcpr8e does. Maybe IXU22 then?... if you have got the money.

DONT touch a champion plug, NGK irridiums I have found to be crap, mainly from my experiences with an overly rich KX125, I have not used Densos in my bike - my old man is a (particularly fastidious) mechanic, and I recall few fond reports of Denso plugs.
All said, with my KX, I changed from the irridiums (and I brought plenty of them @approx A$24.00 p/plug) and changed to the Gold and plaitinum tip plugs at approx A$14.00 ea. and never fouled one or burned it out after that! in fact I gave 5 or 6 new plugs away when i sold my KX, and am still finding the odd one about the house wrapped in bubble rap, as thats how I liked to transport them in my tool kit.
I'd stay with NGK's for sure, but I'd look at the Gold or Plaitinum versions.

Now, as for the stupid spark plug, I know what works well in MY bike and, as I said, it depends on many parameters, I suppose: age of the bike, carb and carb setting, altitude, type of riding, etc...

just read the thread, and i would like to say that i have had nothing but trouble with ngk spark plugs, but the quality is a little better than it was 10 or 15 years ago . they wouldnt be my first choice .each to his own i suppose.
I use an IXU24 based on Taffy's advice and it seems to be better than the NGK. Doesn't seem to foul up so much

As for the plug thing,I'd try an ND but I have no issues with the NGK I run now so I'm not sure I'd notice anything different with it as the bike runs well everywhere imo.I've yet to foul a plug on it although I change it once a year because I figure I should.For that matter,I've only ever fouled two plugs on my previous 3 125's.(after I broke them in and jetted them of course)One was a dud and the other was understandable-following a friends 5yr old son through the tight woods on my RM.It occurs to me that if you are trying different types of plugs to solve an obvious jetting issue you're going at it backwards.
