Bjorne 4th E3 and 23rd overall (Bjorne was the E3 winner for day 5
Salonen 6th E3 and 32nd overall
Lundggren 8th E2 and 21st overall
The race appeared to favor smaller bikes for fast special test times. For example, Petri Pojahmo (TM125en) was 7th in E1, and 15th overall (even more impressive is that Petri was Finland's throw away score, everyday!). Hopefully Fry will pipe in in a day or two with detailed info on the race.

Scott,

I think that is KW service which is a company that they contract to help out with their race effort who provide technicians, chefs & other race site support. There were 3 Italians guys from KW helping them out at the WEC round in Parry Sound this past summer. 2 Techs to support Roland & a cook. They were alot of fun to be around.

It's nice to see my riding style is gaining popularity around the globe.

Hey fellas

Thomas certainly has found the fountain of youth, he still rides like the wind and looks way too young for his age. The bike Joakim is carrying is Thomas' preride bike. His bike looks much like his WEC bike.

Yes little bikes ruled, but I would guess that most riders that had a choice rode 2t rather than 4ts ( Merriman for example ) as they were easier to handle in the ruts. And there were ruts. The region was pummeled with rain, and they threw out sections on day 3 and 4 and only scored the first two sectio and tests on day 5. Riders became very cold and there was some hypothermia ( Dylan Debel was in doctors hands with Hypothermia and recovered to finish 2nd in his moto. He was a happy man and wishes that the moto was a lap longer as he was moving through the pack and had just passed up to the leader at the check flag. Congrats to Dylan on a fabulous ride. )

I really enjoyed the preride, but most of my notes were useless as the weather completely changed the face of the course. What were challenging trails filled with shallow ruts, roots and whoops were slop holes full of bike eating ruts and water holes.

The Fins slaughtered the event, taking the lead on day 2. In the final moto, Ricky Deitrich was running away with the moto until Juha chased him down and passed him. Kurt Caselli and led the majority of the E2 moto until Joel Smets had enough of being in second and took the lead, much like he's done many time during his career. The final motos were full of bergs in the top ten, Bjorne, Daniel Perrson, and Vallterri Salonen in E3, Joakim and ....his name escapes me, he normally rides Suzuki's in the WEC and rode a berg for the ISDE, rode E2.

That's all I have for now, I'll add more later when I get home.
