Anyone got any suggestions..... please, other than should have ridden it first etc I know I know.....
I've got a 99 Berg FE400 electric start enduro. Silly me bought it 2nd hand without a test drive. And its got a mystery problem....
When the engine is under load, ie just as its getting to the good bit where it should take off like a scalded cat, it feels like its missing, and won't rev out, won't pick up any higher revs etc - basically very very flat. Won't lift the front etc
Symptoms sort of feel like its running out of petrol/choked etc
Things tried- changed carb for new one
Changed stator for new one
Changed petrol tank for new one with hoses etc
Changed coil
New iridium plug
Set ignition timing
Set valve timing /clearances etc to what they should be
nothing in the air filter/intake/manifold etc (checked up to the head) blocking it and filters are oiled and fine
For new please also read different/alternative, (stator etc was brand new)
Could it be anything to do with the automatic kickstart decompresssor letting the valves lift and killing the compression??
At the moment no difference at all. Its sitting at a dealers now and they have tried all the above. Anyone got any suggestions however bizarre from experiences themselves as dealer is scratching his head at the mo...
Morale of the story is obvious, try the bloody thing first.
At this point in time, all I want to do is have a proper Husaberg experience and if its as good as its supposed to be............ at the moment I'm bothered Ive bought a money pit tho'
