Which engine is this?

Hi guys,

I hope you can give me some clarity about what kind of engine i have, how much cc?
I bought the bike with papers that belong to the frame of the bike but the seller didn't know what kind of engine it really is.
Can I measure something figure out if it's a 450, 550 or anything else?
I'm still figuring out everything from the wiring and want to have the right wiring drawing.

in the photo finishing ..........114250 if you look at the silver horizontal line which is the mating surface for the left sidecover, well, the distance from that up to the HG tells you if it is
22mm it is a 400 or 470
44mm it is a 501 or 550
65mm it is a 650.

Ned, even with his old eyes (do you need to borrow a pair mate?) can see 65mm a mile off.

Is it retractable what year of build the engine is, looking at the numbers?

I'm really stuck with my wiring and can't find any wiring diagram that matches with the wiring I have...

some of them have a number on the right hand side of the engine about 5" below the spark plug. only 50% have it. something like 64* then the year * then three more numbers.

6442123 would mean a 644 and 2002. it is a 2002-2003 because they put thicker bosses around the back of the swing arm holes than 2001. that's all you need to know.
