Lighting help from someone with an FE

I have an FX 450 that I am trying to make street legal over the winter. So far, I have the rear brake light, the rear brake switch and the FE lighting harness (part #81211075120) installed.

I started the bike and the rear light doesn't come on. I thought that would probably be the case because there are no switches or anything installed yet.

Can someone help me identify what all of these connectors are on the wiring harness "plate" that is bolted to the triple clamp?
The leads in purple are hot.

Green = ?
Orange = ?
Yellow = ?

Is there a way that I can run a jumper wire to make sure the rear light works without a light switch or a front brake switch installed?

I think I know where I went wrong. This morning, I ordered a headlight/horn/signal switch and a front brake switch.
The lighting harness (3) has a bullet connector that is supposed to plug into the main harness (Yellow with black stripe).
I searched and searched for bullet connector on the main harness and I couldn't find it. I took off the right radiator and I believe I found it under there.
Currently, my kill switch is wired into it.

So what I think I need to do is remove my existing kill switch because the headlight switch will work for that.
Then, I can plug the lighting harness into the bullet connector

Does that sound about right?
