Taffy has two 501 rods listed. One for first generation motors and one for second.

let's just say that the 501/470/550/650 exhaust rockers fit straight in for the earlier 501 and 600 - 1997 plus.
the later 400 exhaust rocker fits in for the earlier 400 and 1997 that's all it can help.
the 400/501/470/550/650 inlet rockers fit straight in for the earlier 501 and 600 - 1997 plus.
nothing ideal can can only help the 1997-2000 400 inlet rocker.
but unless mixing engine parts this isn't important. the thing is, to find a rocker arm you can buy today for the needs of yesterday.
again only the 400 inlet flunks out, the rest is all do-able.
special rocker arm
despite working off the centreline of the valves in the 400, we reckon it'll still do a job but we haven't tested it.
