I have the opportunity to buy a husaberg 2008 650cc. Could anybody kindly highlight the pros and cons of the purchase.

should be the most reliable they made. Can't get con rods for them anymore though. Everything else can be sorted. can't get seat pans or shrouds but people keep polishing them up and putting decals over them and keep them going.

Thanks Taffy. So if the con rod is broke can you use a ktm con rod as an alternative or are you essentially screwed.

What would cause the con rod to break.

I have the choice between a ktm 640 or 690 an aprilla sxv 550 or the hberg I posted . What would you choose bearing In mind I'll be using it both as a commuter (short distance) and something to play about with on my days off. Cheers for taking the time to reply
 
you pick. I only know one of the bikes anyway.

Yes, if the rod 'went' you're screwed but as far as say a refresh when rebuilding goes, you can renew the little end bush, the big end pin and the BE bearing.
