97 600 to 501 conversion

I've acquired this sunburnt and corroded 97 600 and wish to convert the motor ( and frame) to a FC501. It looks worse than it is, have found spark, low wear on discs , carb slide as new, 6400km, and the speedo still works...! Plenty of surface corrosion obviously.
I have a nice FC600, but it's a lot of bike...I have tried a 501, easier to ride on a natural terrain mx track .
Looks like the crank, rod and barrel are the only signicant items to change. Headers have a different part #, as well
Any comments or advice appreciated, and if you have a 501 crank or barrel to sell let me know- seemingly pretty scarce.
Looks like the 600 barrel could be machined down at the base to become a 501 barrel if I had to.

I am now without a Husaberg, or any parts, apart from the few bits and bobs that I adapted to my DR650, but I still have the memories. I hope its as good to SA63 as its been to me, life moves on 👍

for what?

"figures"?
"faces"
"telephone numbers"?

The other one is; "you have a great head for radio"?

Yeah I didn't get it. I do have a good sense if humor but my brain was stressed when I read it and I probably read too much into it. I do have a question Taffy; How rare or not rare are 98 fx501 bikes. All I ever see are FE501. I have literally a brand new 98 fx501. I just haven't seen many in the states

they were only made for the USA so rare. they are basically an electric start MX bike.

But then people stuck headlamps on them when they didn't think they'd win a cross country race no more.

I still have brand new decal sets for them.
