Is this Dellorto PHM 40 missing anything? FS650

I have bought myself a non running 2002 Husaberg FS650 I want to get running.

Since it has been sitting for approx. 6 years I thought that I would clean the carb as one of the things. (It has a spark when kicking)

I have taken the carb out of the bike and it is a Dellorto PHM 40 ZS (R4927)

From what I can read the PHM 40 is the original carb on this bike but there are many versions and I am not so sure about the ZS model.

I have attached a picture of the carb from each side.

I do not see that it has any hot start button and are there some screws that are missing?

I hope that somebody can clarify if this carb looks okay or if it looks like something is missing.

Kind regards,

Thomas

its fine, its the original carb. Go into Taffmeisters Facebook page, look up the videos and watch one called "10 things to start a Husaberg".

your carb made with the wrong parts in it and I try to put this right with a kit called the 'easy start' kit and also a 'special choke cable'.

good luck

Thank you Taffy.
I hoped that you would reply.

I will check the different jet sizes inside this carb, maybe they have been changed. If not I will buy the kit from you :)

they won't have changed the slide cutaway from "/40". that will be your clue.

I have 2 2000 FC 501:

One with a Dellorto and now with an added modified easy start kit in it from Taffy. I also added the manual hand decompression set up on it. For the first start up I stroked through the kickstarter about 3 times. Gave it a good kick and it fired on first kick. It has never started this easy.

The second one has a Keihin FCR. I recently rebuilt the entire top end. Once I put a new Keihin mid-body kit in and cleaned everything really well it now starts on first or second kick.

I still have stock SEM parts for the stator and Ignition module
