You will need the seal (as shown in the photo)
O-ring (on the balancer shaft)
and the combo Bearing / Seal on the inside of the cover.
Its easy to nick the seal upon side cover reinstallation. KTM sells a plastic cone protector or use some tape on the balancer shaft.
Cheers, engine had no coolant and minimal oil in it but has got damage to other parts so gonna strip it down anyway

should there be an oring where the water gallery comes out the crankcase and meets the clutch case ?

Would probably need a picture to properly understand the question but...
A o-ring is on the balancer shaft AKA The Water Pump Shaft.
When sourcing the o-ring in the parts book look at the balancer shaft diagram not the water pump diagram. Purchase a few of them as they are not easily sourced from aftermarket suppliers (your local auto parts store).

Hello Stealth. You could have seal issues. However, some oils cause that white goo, usually collects at high points like filler necks. Others refuse to do that at all. My truck is running Castrol and gets some goo. Mobil 1 did that also. Kawasaki synthetic will not make any goo, even after slow cold days of attempting trials riding on my Husaberg. Not easy, by the way. Smoothest shifting you ever had, on that oil. Yes, they got a 15-50. L
