What's up guys. Picking up my first Berg and I plan on using it for my track bike to replace my Rfs KTM bikes I've been using for years. Its a 2011 fe570 that I'm gonna covert over to supermoto trim with some of my existing Smr suspension parts. I know the old Rfs engines don't like to be revved due to the crank spread issues. so I'm asking ahead of time, are there any tips or advice that y'all can pass on that help these 70° engines last longer.? Is there something in particular they don't like, or are they pretty bullet proof and hold up well? How many hours are you guys seeing before freshening them up?.
I realize anything ridden harder will require more attention. Just curious to you guys advice ans experience with the 570. Seems like a great engine and a big upgrade from my old dinosaur Rfs bikes. Thanks.

They love it all. And Never breaks!
At least for me so far with 300+hours on my 11. Make a complete check before and youl be fine

Much the same for the older Husaberg 628 could be said.

Good to hear thank you.!

And yea spanner. Lots of people have spent lots of money trying make the big CC Rfs and older Bergs live while making big power. I'm fighting a loosing battle with my 14:1 600cc rfs race bike motor right now. A big reason I'm looking to upgrade platforms which has led me to the 570 purchase happening day after tomorrow.

Got a friend with a 100mm aka 570 rfs. Works perfect with The fcr41.
Whats wrong with yours?

The bearing on the main tranny shaft that the clutch sits on decided to eat itself with only 7 hours on it. . It was beast in that 7 hours tho. It would loft the front with 14/40 gearing in 4th gear. The power was awesome, but at a cost that my bank account isn't willing to keep funding. I would be lucky to get 50hours out of it.

99mm is the 570 kit that thumper racing sells. With the stock 72mm crank it makes a 556cc . Mine is 99mm bore with the 78mm stroker crank. Making it a 600cc. I'm running a 41mm carb from DJH and a very good head. The 560smr cylinder is 100mm cylinder with the short rod crank. Put the stroker crank with that cylinder and you get 610cc combo that alot of the factory motard teams used. They also there the cranks away after 10-15hours of use I've heard. Lol. Just some useless KTM Rfs info for ya. Haha.

Not useless as my friend loves his bike. He could buy a brand new any Day. But he just dont want any other bike.
And no talk in mc genre is useless. ;)
Gl with The berg

I ran a 576 kit in a RFS for a while- Had well over 100 hours no problems with the crank
41mm carb, stroker crank etc etc

Biggest issue was fitness (wrestling the thing) - so much torque so low, the front loved to hover

only bike issue I had was with the torque - broke 3 rd gear eventually
Was a great bike.

570FE is similar, just smoother with the FI, oh and factory built, not back yard built

Very true. Gobs of torque. Slow transitioning in the tight stuff and It's hard to keep the front on the ground between turns under acceleration.. Did alot of turning on the back tire. Is the 570 as bad to hover the front, or is it a little more manageable and easier to keep it planted on the track? Less gyroscopic effect and more flickable in the transitions hopefully?

What compression was your 576 set up? If I could get 100 hard hours out of my 600 I'd rebuild it to that. But my engine builder told me I was looking at rebuilding it every 50 hours. So I'm thinking of changing the set up now that it's apart. I'd like to ditch the stroker crank and try one of thumpers billet lightweight stock stroke cranks with my 99mm cylinder and race head. But that crank alone is like $1700. Not sure im gonna throw that kinda money at it again. I'm not sure what route im gonna go since I've got 2 rfs engines out getting rebuilt at the moment and money is tight. I just sold my triumph speed triple which is where I'm getting the money to buy the 570. . . Guess I should use that cash to build the junk I have now. . Lol.

It's a wonderful addiction to have. . . But it sure aint cheap. ;)

The 70 degrees tends to feel Light in front due to the weight distribution. Dont have to be The big 570 to save the knobs on The front tire.

Well. I'm not racing much. A little light in the front ain't so bad.. . suits my riding style anyway. ;) I'm just hoping it'll be a good upgrade from the rfs bikes in. Power and reliability. We shall see. Thanks for the replys

No idea what you going on about, 570 70 degree maaaany hours still kicking on fine.
Its perfect in distribution, you just need to go at it :)

Anything for sale from the rfs?
Crank for instance
May be selling the stroker crank. Only has 7 hours on it. Still weighing my options on rebuild. Might sell the whole motor as is but I doubt there would be very much interest in it like that.

Thanks Tom. Fixing to hit the road for a days worth of driving to go after it now.

Pm me your mailadress and il give it to him. Skip the middleman, less misunderstandings.

Well I got the bike last Friday. Rode it at the off-road park Sat. Then swapped it over to supermoto trim that evening and rode it everyday since then. I put over 700 miles on it since I've got it. And I love it so far. Handles great. Has decent power. Can't wait to get it to the track.
Anyone on here do serious track days or racing on theirs? What offset triples are y'all running?

their fork centres are 10mm further apart, so you will have had lots of fun surely?

I took the complete from end off my KTM. With the rotor spacer and longer axle. Only problem I ran into is the KTM stem is aboit 5mm shorter than the Berg. So I either need a 5mm longer stem or im gonna have the top triple where the stem nut sits machined down 5mm.
