Hi.
Can somebody give me a tip on how to get off the back cap on the silencer on my FC550 '01, before I accidently destroys anything?
I have turned old enought to have learned to ask first, BEFORE I damages things.;)
I've drilled out the rivets but its stuck. I can't understand that I have to drill out the rivets in the front of the silencer as well, because the whole silencer and inner tube is bent, so I dont think it is possible to pull the whole thing through.
The reason I want to open it up, is that I think it's empty of sound absorbing stuffing and I want to replace some.......
Thanks for advice!
(Yup, I'll be nagging around now, with my "new" Husaberg. )

Hi

The back cap has one o-ring, so even if you drill the rivets out it doesn't comes loose.
So you use a rubber or plastic hammer, hitting it from side to side and it will come out.

Thanks! It's always a way of getting it done, but everything has it's first time....

Fixed!!:D And I didn't break anything.....
The tube had no glaswool in it at all, and had a sharp and hard tone. Now I have put in a roll of silencer wool around the inner tube, and the sound is a bit softer now. It's still hard, but a lot softer.
Thanks!
