Hi Kristleifur,
Thanks for the compliment, when i see the photo's when i got the bike and now, yeah it's indeed a looker:D
By my knowledge they are indeed Norwegian, the same Husqvarna used in the 80's only the color was "champagne/goldish".I love the fact that the rimstickers are still on both rims:)
The bike came the registrationpapers from the first owner also the ownersmanual and a partsmanual.
The first owner bought the bike when he was about 57 years of age and rode it a few times then got caught by police, jailed, got a big fine then for him the fun was over, he put the bike in his barn with 880 km on the speedometer and never got it out again.
The second owner had no room in his shed, so it was left outside, with discoloration of all the plastics and seat, although the bike was in a nice technical state:)
I bought it because, i knew this particular bike wich the first owner gave me the change to test it in april 1991, this came to light when i called the second owner to get some information about the bike's history:)
Sa far soo good, with one exception, i'am still waiting, for 5 months now, for the much wanted stickerset:mad:

Hey Kristleifur,
The peanut in the cookie? De pinda in het koekje?
Never heard that one before:D
Is this one of the famous Icelandic sayings?

Not a recent pic, but still in the shed a bit faded. Still goes great with 33,xxx kms. Sorted suspension, FCR and Sparks stator. Great bike ;)

Hey Steve,
Wow 33000 km's that's a lot my man, did you own this beauty from new?
And how much mechanical trouble did you ran in so far?

Grtz Rens

p.s. if you have any chance to give more photo's i would be pleased thanks in advance:D

I got it 'new' in March 1998. It was a demonstrator that had done maybe 20 hrs, mostly the Oz 4 Day Enduro. The inlet valve seats broke up early in its life so that had to be sorted, including a Wiseco HC piston. Sort of done under warranty at the time. Since then, the Sparks is its 3rd stator. I let the cam follower bearings go a bit far and paid the price of a new camshaft. Switched at the time from Mobil 1 to Delo 400 and the replacement followers have almost tripled the originals' life.

The FCR with Taff's jetting base sorted the recalcitrant Dellorto, and hopefully the Sparks stator is its last. The suspension has been dialed to suit me, as have the ergos.

Its a bit smokey now when cold, and likely rattlier than when new, but still goes great. Mostly stored, but gets a couple of outings a year, but no more than 10 hrs a year since I got my FE650. And I have plenty of other 2 wheel toys too, like SY250, DR650, and XT1200Z.

Its bottom end, including clutch, is original which I reckon is amazing. Its not been babied, and has been raced MX and enduro for a few years, and lots and lots of gnarly trail riding in between and since.

These pics were all in the gallery in years gone by, but the gallery hasn't worked for me for a long time.

Does the link work for you?

I also have a 19 litre big tank for it, which is for sale if anyone is interested.

Yep, the link works!

Hi ALL

Thank you for sharing your bikes.
As you know tourist made a google drive some time ago, so we could upload the information we thought could be useful.

As you also know, there aren't a lot of good pict OEM of the pre 97/98 bikes, so please post yours and with the year of the bike, specially in their original state, because we could use them to upload to the drive.

Hi ZAGA
I am desperatly waiting for the stickerset, the guy who promised to make them is completly of the radar, can't get in touch with him.
The guy in question, has the templates wich i made and it cost a lot of time to make them.:(
As for originality, the only thing that's not,is the handlebar:) wich is a Tomaselli
As for pics as soon the stickerset is on it i will make some high qualitypics and post them:)

Finally got it all back together. The frame is plated and street legal. I want to take it out for a few desert trips before I add the dual sport parts.

With the 07 KTM RFS cam , 04-08 decomp and Taffy's spring it kicks over real easy and there is no strain on the electric starter.

The suspension was always too soft. You can't buy stiffer springs off the shelf for the forks anymore but they can be made. The Ohlins stiffer rear spring was easy to obtain.

I'll post some more pics once I have it in dual sport trim and with the large tank.
