Hello my name is Jason and I live in Central Point, Oregon USA.

I have 2 Bergs.

08 FE650 and a 91 FC501.

If anyone has any pics of the 1991 FC501 I would like to see them, so I can have OEM graphics made.

Also I am looking for some parts for the 1991 FC501:

1- Rubber elbow air boot between carb and air box/frame
2- Chain slide that wraps around swing arm pivot
3- Chain guard that goes over front sprocket
4- Mud guard that protects shock from debris

Also looking to buy a flywheel for the 08 650.

Thanks

Hello Bergini,

Thanks for the reply. I was surprised to see not one of the 61+ people who have looked at this thread welcomed me or had any advise.

I was thinking of seeing how the 08 mud guard fit and possibly cut one like you suggest.

Where is the best place for parts and OEM picks of Bergs?

Hi and welcome Jason,

Dunno about the other parts, but i use a clear flexible plastic for my shock flap. Its from a warehouse type door - them big long floppy things which keep the wind out, if you know what i mean.
Works great cos its so flexible. Fixed under the seat and zip tied to the bottom of shock spring. Also clear too!!

Cheers
Jason

here's a belated Welcome!!!

Cool bikes! want an '07-'08 big-bore so bad; especially the 550 is my big bike crush

and the '90/ bikes are just so cooooool ... purposeful and menacing

(i for one kind of forgot to say 'hi' when I tried to think of US parts dealers - and didn't know any ... there's of course Taffmeisters in the UK who afaik carries a pretty good range of parts for the older 'ladies' ... offroadboss is/was one in the US? i'm sure there are others! the people who know will certainly share ... RIGHT GUYS? ;)

Thanks for the welcomes and the advice.

I finally found a pic of a 91 FC501 on Ebay and it has a head light and tail light that appear stock. Mine has no lights and appears stock.......Was the FX built from the FC frame??

Really want to find some OEM picks of these old girls.

Emailed Taffmeisters with what I am looking for. Curious what they will say.

Could not find a Motorcycle/Husaberg dealer called Off Road Boss?????

Another belated welcome I'm fairly new as well have a 06 FE550 and 2010 FE390 i get most of my 550 parts from Taffy and a few for the 390 but most from the states

ELITE MOTORSPORTS LOVELAND, CO (970) 461-1022

have a very good fiche and although not listed they can get most of the older parts for you if needed, as can Boss.

there used to be the older parts listings and manuals on the site but they are not back up as yet. I'll see if i can upload one its for 89up

for the parts that x over to KTM bikes (quite a lot for your "08") this site has consistently the cheapest prices

Lexington, Kentucky, KTM, ATV, OEM, Offroad, Street, fiche, parts, accessories, apparel, clothing, jacket, helmet, boot, glove

yes welcome! you possibly have the 2 best bergs ever made :)

Great news! BOSS Husaberg had all the pieces I need for the 501 except the NOS graphics kit.

Now if I could verify which model this is.

Just found out from the ex-Husaberg dealer that I got the bike from that the bike is a Malcolm Smith Edition FC501! :)

I will be talking to Alexander Smith (Malcolm's son) on Monday to gather info on the bike.

This could explain the upside down Noleen valved forks and the Ohlins shock.....

Hopefully my other parts will be in next week!
