Vauxhall Vivaro big enough for a Berg?

OK, so have looked at the technical specs, and see rear aperture @ 52"... height I measure to handle bars about 49", doesn't leave much space to wheel in & out.

Anyone ever had an FS650 (or the enduro/mx version assuming they are taller?), in the back of one of these vans?

Cheers

Well, i picked my crm250 up in a Renault Kangoo :D
Folded the front seat down and put it in backwards, was very snug. Wouldnt wanna do it again though!

I once had a CCM644 that we picked up in a vivaro and it jumped in, and thats bigger and heavier than a bergoid.

Ive been lookin for a van for ages, mainly for work. Sold the Kangoo and bought a SWB transit. Transits are miles bigger than VIvaros, are cheaper to buy (very much cheaper!) and theres more for sale. Transits rot quicker but Vivaros/trafics etc are just too much money for decent ones, oh and the gearboxs and the miriad of electrical sensors give lots of trouble.

Whichever you get, its easier puttin the bike in back wheel first

My 08 FE 450 with bar raisers fits in my Vivaro no bother.

Xr650R and CRM 250 with high bars again no trouble.

Brilliant, thanks guys!

Its an ex AA van, with the most comprehensive service history report I've ever seen (printed from a database, time, date, component, confirmation that service & repair entry is within recommended service period per component, etc etc....).

Its a 2007 model as well, & the 2006 van design/build had some significant improvements that I've read about.

Should be picking it up Saturday morning! Can't wait, so excited!

Now to buy the strapless tie-downs (viewtopic.php?f=20&t=15057), ply line it, few shelf trays for bits n bobs, a ramp & perhaps a Husaberg graphic to complement the AA yellow!!

Nice one chief, ya got lucky there. AA vans are pretty hard to get an theyre serviced proper so it'll be a good un. Shouldnt have the problems the earlier ones suffer from too.

Remember the very nice man AA adverts?

He's a very nice man, a very very nice man... LOL, yea remember them. Got a ramp today, now working on wifey for the strapless tie down brackets.. don't know how many more dishes I can cope with though

Hi all, the van is starting to come together now, have ply lined it, bought a black carpet yet to fit & ordered the foot peg clamping bracket, should be here tomorrow!!

One thing is puzzling me though, and that's the gaping big hole in the dash where presumably a sat-nav or similar was in before (ex AA van, so could have been anything). The CD player is underneath, but all kits I've seen on tinternet seem to have the CD player on top, and a shelf underneath?

Please see attached photo of my set-up.

For the Vivaro owners out there, do you know if I could buy & fit one of these (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/250867363230? ... 478wt_1199), to remove the big hole from the dash?

Thanks

Crispin
