Its interesting that none of the 'really' fast guys can come to terms with the higher COGs that the 70 deg Bergs and the new Yam YZF450s offer. The bikes are great for 99.99%, but the FAST guys can't stop them without them pitching them over the bars, especially large braking bumps, and can't rail a rut without them climbing out.

seems to be rather a sweeping statement

Stopped by my dealer today to pick some stuff up and look what had been delivered just 10 minutes before we arrived :D
No battery installed, no pegs and still plastic on the seat but I took it for a "dry ride" anyway...
It does look great but I can't get my head around the fact that it's a blue "orange bike". Tried to talk the guy into letting me take it on a break in ride together with the 570 on a two day ride that starts tomorrow - he was not convinced about the greatness of my idea... strange....
Note the vintage 'Berg shirt

All 'Bergs (except the FX of course) here are as street legal as any R6 or VFR

Dood ... that's just cruel. :(

yep! only Sweden and the UK don't require type approval for everything!

that's why gentlemen, when back in 2002, the yanks couldn't sell all their allocation of bikes (mainly FC and FX470s flopped) they were all shipped to......................the UK and we flogged the lot! :bounce3: :bounce3:

Then in 2005 the dreaded NERC act wiped out at a stroke most of the trails we used to be able to ride them on so we wouldn't spoil the enjoyment which apparently only ramblers and horse riders are allowed to take from being in the countryside.

Swings and roundabouts I guess. Though now I come to think of it, it is odd that our much-loved Labour government didn't get around to introducing type approval for vehicles - would have fitted right in with all the other "nanny state" nonsense like fitting scaffolding to gravestones just in case they might fall over and land on someone's foot.

We need a 125 / 150cc and 200cc version, plus a big 450 or 500cc 2-smoke - HB needs to provide an option for the entry level younger crowd, plus be leading the market back into the Big bore 2-strokes.

The MSRP needs to come down a bit - say by 20% - and sales will rocket off the charts.

All the component suppliers are under big pressure, with falling input costs, so this should be achieveable.

:bounce3:

When the Berg dealers get to sell the rebadged KTM 2 strokes, then we can expect KTM dealers will also be selling the new Bergs in Orange plastic....fair is fair!
