So I am in Ouray CO riding my 570 yesterday and my fuel light came on at 77 miles, I did refuel at 97 miles because my friend with the Razor and gas cans split ways with Squirrel and me , but the bike was not out of gas as of 97, now bear in mind that the ride was a total of 115 miles, mostly jeep roads looking around allot and taking a ton of photo's as the aspens are going full force up here.

Pretty much blew me away that the bike went that far, again this is not trail riding but dual sport type stuff, map switch is in #2 position with stock exhaust

you know you can switch the fuel sensor to show when you have either 2 or 3 litres of fuel left?

interesting to know which yours is set to.

That's impressive, any idea what you are getting trail miles?

No not yet, keep filling up and time I can, when I get home I will carry a gas can with me and let her run dry, then I will update this report

Ive got 180Km on my 650, it really is good on gas when you get the revs as low as possible through the city, just before the engine starts to lug if you can get the revs just right you save lots of gas.

I suspect about 60 miles to a tank trail miles, I just get excited about riding when I go and forget to check it!

princess lance's 570 ran dead out at around 55-57 miles on our ride from cement creek. Admittedly, he's fairly aggro on the throttle. We had to send a chick back to rescue him.

There is a kit that can be fitted to the 09s to give it a low fuel light on Husaberg dealer net but it comes up as unavailable. I will find out more about it and let you know what's up.

2009 FE570 No less than 37mpg trail riding and as much as 55mpg dualsport. Bike is seldom ridden aggressively.
