Hi, I’m interested in checking the condition of my piston / rings. Will the top end come off the cylinder with the engine in situ or do I have to plan on removing the engine? The space looks pretty cramped, but maybe removing the rad frees up enough room? Thanks. C

Here we go on a top end refresh. Got timing chain,valve seals, double springs, cam follower bearings. Have everything apart and am thinking about starter problems. Will spin but disengage. Works, but since I have everything off now what is problem? Sprague?torque limiter? Thanks for advice.
