How do you remove the link from the swingarm?
I removed the nut and bolt (that goes through the swingarm) but the bearing spacer seems to be pressed in and appears to extend through the link into the other side of the swingarm.
You can see the bearing spacer slightly protruding out...
Please don't flame me if I have missed this elsewhere .

My '02 FE400 needs rebuild. However,I can't managed to remove the swingarm shaft. it is badly stuck in its place.a couple of blows with a hammer dd not work. I also tried to pull it off by screwing the nut on one end and by using a suitable spacer between the frame and the nut but tightening the...
Hi guys
Still persevering and just got hold of a 2003 550 swingarm and 2003 650 FS shock.
On the basis that a 98/99 swingarm fitted in a 2000+ frame no problem, I'm assuming that I can reverse that particular piece of reverse engineering and put the newer back end in.
Q1 - should it fit...

You know those plastic c-clips that hold and position the rear brake line on the swingarm? Are the screws that hold down those clips the same screws that hold down the chain/swingarm protector guard?
My guard was toast, so I ordered a new one. I didn't realize that in the course of the chain...
Riding in the PNW where we acutally use first gear and often gear our bikes down, we tend to use up lots of swingarm guards (the plastic guide that bolts to the swingarm and protects it from the chain). Running a 12T front sprocket on my TM125 resulted in new guards about every 500 miles or so...

Hallo!
I need to change my swingarmbearings.
My questions are, do you have any tips to give me before I start?
In other words are there any things in particular I need to be aware of?
And, do you always use bearings from Husaberg or do any of you just buy bearings from a "bearingsshop"...
I have had the engine and swingarm out of my frame which has just been powder coated.
I am struggling to get the swingarm in, with the engine loosely fitted on the front plates.
Any advice ?

hello,
some people in germany from the offroad-forum report of 3 cases of "04 models ...
are other cases outside germany well known?
we only found this pic of an "02?:
whats the problem with the casted swinging arm?
what do SM boys do
i have found that the bushes in the swingarm aren't a good fit to the dowels that go through them, it's bad enough off road but i'd hate to be an SM rider!
with slack in the shaft as well the dowels can tilt to their favourite angle. therefore...
Anyone found an alternate source for the swingarm slider? I find the replacement part ridiculously priced, since it is just a strip of hard rubber with a couple holes in it.
Hello
...and another question from the german greenhorn :) :
I want to unmount everything of the swingarm to grease the bearings... unmounting was not a big problem except the "vertical link" (see picture). Firstly it was an exercise of an hour or something to get the screw/bolt out of the...
