I Have an almost new 70 degree racing sub frame tank, to suit FE390/ FE450/ FE570 2009-12 Husaberg
Used for two rides only.
Comes with all the bits supplied from new including the unused breather line. Bonus 70 degree sticker to make your bike look extra tough! :)
Has some rough marks from...
I found someone willing to sell his subframetank :). Is it possible to use the Safari pump housing to connect the subframe to the main tank. Or is this housing to small making a fill up taking to much time?
I just received my new Safari tank and am in the process of fitting it to my '11 FE570. The Bike already has sub-frame tank installed. I will need to "T" into the 70 Degree subframe tank somehow. I was wondering if anyone else had done this yet. It looks like it will be a tight fit, and I'm not...
Yes I know there is an after-market tank available from 70 degrees, I'm on the wait list :)
But I need to get something happening now for some big rides coming up over the next 3 months. Does anyone have a guide for converting the existing subframe to be used as an aux tank? I've looked online...
Anyone have a stock subframe from any 70 degree bike EXCEPT US model 2011 FE570? I would like to trade if possible, if you're not interested in a trade, what will you sell for? I have a rear Safari tank that will work will all models other than the one I have.
Mike
Hi guy's , new to this forum but you might have seen me on other forums recently purchased my first berg 501fe a months ago building it up for rally raid ,
I have sourced a front acerbis 20ltr tank but was looking for a rear subframe tank or similar , I have seen the safari rear...
Heard from dealer that the 2013 TE250 en TE300 can be equipped with a fuel containing subframe. Does someone happen to know the vendor who sells this? How many liters/gallons?
Should this be possible, it is very tempting to do some serious smoking :D
Anybody know if there is other option ou there for a subframe tank for a FE 570 than 70 degree racing and safari fuel tanks.
I need something now and i dont like safari ones and 70 degree are not aivailable.
Thanks
Well luckily I haven't painted my yet. Or I would have, but a friend of mine stopped by today and was asking wtf I am doing.
He told me the tank material is something that no paint or adhesion promoters would stick, and it's so porous that gas fumes will breath through it. Well I knew that the...
So, after a rather large crash in a race I've bent the rear subframe a bit, enough to have the exhaust not fit so well. I've bent the exhaust back to carry on racing. anyone managed to straighten a rear subframe yet? doesn't need to be 100%. I was going to just heat it up to soften it and see...
3 out of 6 subframe bolts are seized and just spinning in the mouldings for the tank and the rear subframe.
any ideas how to get them out ? as i can't get the tank off until they're out.
I like to tinker... and I've read about people trying to plumb the subframe but gave up. I want to give it a shot before I order the 70 degrees. So if anyone has done it and has a write up I'd very much appreciate a link.
Thanks all.
For anyone interested, yesterday I ran my bike until it ran out of fuel. I could still see fuel in the subframe, but not much. Whatever quantity that was, is unuseable. I was about a mile from the truck, and borrowed about 14 ounces of gas from a buddy. That would be one Keystone light beer can...
Just wondering how they are holding up? Any issues? Worth the investment? I read somewhere that the exhaust hangers were drooping, is this true?
Glenn.
Hello,
As i ride long rides, i wanted to expand my fuel range. After calling around in the netherlands i managed to find probably the last subframe fuel tank (part no. H16019901) in the country with a dealer. Only it has no fitting instructions of fitting equipment. I'm a bit puzzeled how it...
I just received my new Aqualine Safari tank (thanks Rick!) and am in the process of fitting it to my '10 FE450.
Things are going o.k. so far, but I will need to "T" into the 70 Degree subframe tank somehow. I was wondering if anyone else had done this yet. It looks like it will be a tight fit...
Since I fitted the 70 deg. tank, I now have a spare subframe.
I had made noises about making it into a water tank for long distance rides (where I use Aqualine tanks instead), but I am thinking this is maybe not very likely??
Should I sell it? Now that there is a good subframe tank out there...
Yeah, I know it's weird, but bear with me and just humor me for a while.
Most of you probably have seen the HT-Racing oil resevoir:
for some KTMs. Right?
The reasoning/desire behind these is to give a bike with relatively limited oil capacity (less than two liters) more oil capacity. The...
Hello All,
I removed the white plastic tail piece on my 2009 570 this weekend as part of a thwarted effort to fit a new end can (it didn't fit :( ) and so was able to inspect the rear plastic subframe . I noticed that there is a hole in mine (picture attached). The hole looks like a...
