a few years back ben Ballard put up a stress analysis video of the OEM 2003 650 rod and his own rod.
did anyone keep a copy?
can anyone pass me something similar?
Schwim?

Hello Ive been reading this forum time ago and really it has helped too much, although like you can see this is my fist topic.
Ive a husaberg FE 400 from 2000 with non e-start and last year i changed the piston for a new one and i noticed that the old one was scored hardly by a ball bearing i...
Hello
I've found 5 Husaberg rod kits for the FC/FE600s!
they are OEM, come with little end bush fitted, a big and pin and bearing.
they are 250 each which is what they were when Husaberg stopped making them.
let me know if you want one! remember, no more are being made.....
regards
Taffy
is there any interest in new 600 rod kits being made?
pin, bearing and rod, no little end required. cost will be 300gbp or 320 euros or $480.
I'm only getting a dozen so I guess: "speak now or forever hold your peace"!
I'll go ahead if I can get 6 orders.
the FC501 rod was 4mm shorter...
Hi,
trying to find a cheaper than original conrod kit for my -08 FE450. Seems to only be original or mx composites around. I saw Taffmeister on ebay with the 1mm shorter conrod, but that does not feel right somehow.
Here in sweden the original conrod kit is about 360EUR and mx composites kit...
The pricing for an OEM rod kit is... noteworthy. Is there anyone out there that know of a non OEM rod kit, or has had a custom rod ordered (Carillio/Arrow/Hot Rods etc)?
Just an open and hazy question which is deeply technical.....so no replies then!!!
many of you 650 owner's over the years will have suffered seizures, oval bores and poor piston life. yet the earlier 600 suffered none of this?
I put it that the rod on the 650 has always been too short by at...
Hi,
Would anyone know the length between centres and width of the big end itself ( not the rollers )
For 05 onwards 650s?
Also can the crank pin 35mm be brought separately, part# ?
Cheers spanner
put a new rod kit in 20 hrs ago
found some flakes on the drainplug 2 oil changes in a row
lower end of the rod is a little larger than the original and lightly contacts the crank when the piston is under full steam I think on the power stroke.
it doesn't contact checking by hand so the crank...
I have found a good engineering company that will make me rods at an acceptable price to both me, and you, the end user. I'm talking about the 501 and the 600 motors198? to 2000. oddly enough he has a real problem getting pins and bearings for the 30mm big end of the old bikes. so not only...
i need to replace my conrod (fs 650) '04 after 300h !!!!but i want to replace my older crank with the bell crank because it's much stronger i think. i've heard the conrod isn't as strong as the old one and it last for 150h maximum! i don't use c/b and my motor revs 11.000rpm...what is your...
I'm cannot for the life of me adjust my clutch so that I can engage and disengage it within the throw of the lever. When I took the pressure plate off, I noticed that there was no ball between the rod and the plate. My fj1200 has it, and I'm wondering if there's supposed to be one on the berg...
just like to give you all an update on my1995 501, the berg with the ktm 525 rod is still going strong after many, many, many hours of thrash, and the WR and YZF boys still can,t live with it! :D
There is a "130" cast into the side of my connecting rod. What does this mean? I eyeballed the rod at 123mm C-C using a tape measure. In the doc under tuning it shows 123mm for the 03 550 which I believe is the same for the newer bikes.
Stripping this 4681 rear shock, and the 22mm piston rod nut is proving very difficult to remove. There is no damage to the shaft threads. On top of the nut either side of the rod close to the threads is a small indent, it also looks like its had green loctite on it. So my question, is it safe...
I was reading a topic on a dutch forum where a guy had a 2003 FS650 with 3400 km on the odo.
When he drove on the tarmac with a speed of 100 km/h his connectingrod snapped. For pictures check out the topic,I can't link them directly on this page...
does any one know what the name of the Swedish company is that is the manufacturer of a rod kit for the husaberg 501 from years 1994 thru 2000.trying to get in touch with them.thanx,dan.
hi every body,
i will assembly my crank shaft this week with a new rod kit.
according to 99 repair manual, the distance between the 2 halves(i am not sure if this is the right word) should be about 62mm.
because the outer surface of the halves has a patern and isn't flat, i would like someone...
