Can anybody identifiy this Keihin Fcr? Is it a MK1 or Mk2? It is supposed to come off a Yamaha WR 426.
Is it a good Option for a '2000 Fe600? If yes, which jetting is a good point to start? My bike has an Akrapovic Full exhaust and smets (supermoto) camshaft.
Best, Simon

I've had a batch of these rings made and put them up for sale. known at the moment as a "44mm venturi ring" I have them for sale through the web shop and on ebay.
as you can see, the ring is nearly square to give it strength in the corners.
you basically have to completely strip...

I am having a load of the centre rings made for this carb that will allow 44mm.
basically, you can bore the start and finish of the carb to 44mm but the centre 'ring' won't take it. so I have designed this ring from scratch and I'm having them made. they should be at the Telford Show on...
Hi all,
Sorry i'm a bit new to this and was just wondering the best way to clean a carburettor?
Heard soaking it in Acetone is an easy and affective way, would this be ok to soak overnight?
Thanks.

Hi guys.
I got my berg up and running with new liner, piston and valves.
Now I have an issue with lean idle, where I have to set the idle screw to almost maximum when warm to run without choke, with choke the rpm rises drastically and I have to back off the idle screw multiple turns to have...
Okay so I have two "buttons" or "levers" on the carb, one red and one black, the one I bought the bike from told me the red one was choke and that he had seen the black one, that tells me he wasnt really experienced so he cant be trusted. ;)
Well, I know that one is choke and the other one is...
The Keihin FCR-MX Carbs are notorious for having this plate wear / crack / rattle etc....
To buy the plate and the seal is an excercise in frustration when it comes to the pricing that gets quoted around the place. The way to go is this: Buy the Honda 'kit' which comprises the seal and the...

I have a 1995 FE501. When I purchased it, there was an annoying off idle richness, so I took the carb apart and found the needle was very pitted.
I then purchased a 37mm Keihn FCR off a 2002 YZ250F. Jetting specs are here http://www.thumperfaq.com/wrf_vs_yzf.htm
The carb works great, the bike...

The things you see in a cafe at Galston. :morning:
Tuneboy has not found the burn in section in the ECU yet and he is looking harder than any dealer has
Finally got the old girl all back together today and after 100 to 150 kicks (or so it felt like!!) the snap crackle of my 650 filled my quiet street once again ( i have several elderly neighbours who were happy to see it in bits lol).
Any way with the taffy sm kit installed it popped and banged...
