This has happened to me twice now. Both times I have been putt-putting and not riding hard. The coolant hose snaps right off of the engine block spraying hot coolant all over the place--this, after roughly 1 hour of slow (first and second gear) riding in fair (shirtsleeve) weather. The radiator...
I just picked up a 05 FE 550, bike had only 26 hours and picked it up cheap. but I'm having a few issues though.
Bike seams to run lean, gets hot in slow tight woods sections. i ride avg at 3500 feet above sea level . i'm in the process of installing a JD Jet kit so i hope this goes away.

We had a magic ride in the dunes yesterday, in some pretty warm weather - 33 Deg C and climbing. Working pretty hard in the dunes but keeping our moving speed up, none of the bikes boiled over.
However, after a particularly bad choppy section through some rough dunes, I noticed that some...
I found some links by LeFrog I believe. Anyone done this with sucsess? Part numbers for the switch as it is a 1/8" NPT thread? This looks like the cleanest fix if you don't have a threaded radiator plug,( pre 06?).

Hey all
I'm fitting a thumb brake to my berg, but a but unsure about the routing of the hose! I was just gonna go straight down the frame on the left of the bike? But wondering if the heat from the engine will affect braking etc?
Hi i picked up a 2002 FC550, when ridding today my clutch hose started leaking out of the metal end where it screws into the clutch perch. I assuming a need to order a new clutch hose part# 230 135-01 but i don't see it being sold anywhere. or is there a cross reference for a ktm or possibly...
Looking to find best location for temp sensor (in hose type) for my fs650. I was thinking the short hose coming off cylinder to top of radiator. Any one put one on there bike before? Will post pic's of alloy dash set up with Vapor on it soon.
Thanks
Glenn
Where does the stock overflow hose go on an FS650? My bike came with an aftermarket catch can and it just broke so I need to put it back to stock until I can get a new catch can.
Thanks,
Mike
i'm interested in removing the vent hose above the cilinderhead (above the distribution chain).
i know that the oil plug fit in properly but it needs to be machined, is that true?
what kind of modification do I have to perform on this oil plug?
Hi all!
After requests from Berg owners locally for hose kits I have tooled up for you Berg enthusiasts! I have both thermostat & non thermostat versions available in blue with other colours to order.
Any of you guys interested?
Some feedback on this would be appreciated! Was thinking of...
I need a new coolant hose, that one small short 90 piece that connects to the water pump. The darn thing has a bell mouth opening on the end away from the pump that connects to that plastic tee couplling.
believe it or not The Great MotoXotica does not have one in stock. I crashed and tore...
Took me ages to craft this baby. I'm thinking of starting up a business making them. Should be able to offer them up for less than $200 (AUD). To give me some idea of market strength, please tell me how much you want one.
I've just bought a brand ned Brembo master cylinder with the external fluid reservoir. What i am missing, is the hose between the master and reservoir. Will I need a special type of hose, or will anything do?
Ahh Lovely
anyone help me please?
i need a rad hose that exits the water jacket, does a 90 to face the front wheel, goes horizontally to around the front corner of the cylinder jacket, does another 90d vertically and then goes straight up to the top of the radiator inlet.
anyone seen any kind of...
Are you guys using a guard for the lower hose on left side? It sure sticks out on mine. Not knowing if anyone makes a guard other than skidplate with extension, I made one for mine. Made me nervous about getting it poked with brush or something. Of course, I never fall down, (ha!).
Thanks to UHE for posting tech info about the breather. Sure enough, I got my 'Berg upside down on a hill, running, and choked down enough oil to foul the plug.
Reading the tech reports told me what the problem was and how to fix it but not "what filter to use on the end of the...
While riding slow technical woods at high altitude my radiator hose popped
off the water pump neck. I noticed the barb is a very small dia. to keep
the hose clamp from slipping past. I am planning on welding a bead around the end of the neck and then machine it down to clean it up while...
