hole

The threads in the bleedscrew hole are not good, and I can see that the previous owner has fixed it before with thread insert. I'm thinking of drilling the hole to a bigger dimension (M7 or M8) and making a new screw. Anyone tried this, and what can happen?

Finally got my new 550 together and went for my first spin, stopped to look things over after about 5 km's. Low and behold the weep hole was leaking oil, not a great amount but enough to be noticeable. I wiped the oil off of the cases and continued on my ride checking the leak every so often...
