Does anybody have some feedback on a 120/100-18 Maxxis desert IT? I currently have a 110/100 but was considering the bigger tire for my 2006 FE450E. I mostly do single track in Arizona. thanks

Hello all , I'm planning to cross the Simpson next year and at the moment ride 06 Fe450 . Can anyone offer advice on set up . I'd love to use this bike but there doesn't seem to be options for larger fuel tanks. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Just got back from a great 3 days of desert riding out at West Water Mesa in Utah. The 390 was a blast. Day one, rode a 40 mile loop, day two, West water mesa trail, day 3- Zion Curtain.

Hi Guys, I'm a newbee running Michelin Desert 140/80 18" rear with 90/90 21" front with bib mousse in both tires. I bought my 570Fe with them installed. Anyone desert racing the new 570 or 450 in US ?? we have now had three major desert races here in Australia with the new '09 bikes, Finke, Hattah and the Safari. Keen to compare notes /observations etc with anyone who has desert raced them in the US.

Recently rode through the Canning Stock Route,1700kms, one fuel stop, no 4wd backup or support, eight days of riding. Started with 53 litres of fuel , all camping gear , provisions,tools,water(7-10 litres) a day, and other equipment carried onboard also. Added 80kg of extra weight to the bike.2...

Has anyone tried the 140/80/18 Michelin Desert rear tire? I know this is one of the most expensive tires and have heard some reviews. I just bought an S12 for 67 bucks and Deserts are at least 115.00 or more. Is it worth it? Or is it for those marathon desert rides? Pollo
