Remove engine breather from air box ,I have seen this mod listed here before & it is in owners Doc, I have been thinking about doing this mod to my 04 650 motard, will it affect the motor in any way not having a vacuum,I think it would have to go better not sucking hot air from the motor, why did...
Hello everybody
After some oil leaks from engine breather that I have,I read some topics about that problem and I show a lot of ideas. The question because I confused is:does the restriction of breather from the air fiter box(frame) efects the engine performance? What happend whith the...
Hi,
I just wanted to ask how much the disconnetion of the engine breather influences the jetting?
I noticed a noticeable changing in idle speed - can be set easy to "correct" again.
How big is the affect on the other carb-circuts?
Anydody ever checked this(Taffy)?

Should Be A Quick One To Answer,I Seem To Remember JoeUSA Mentioning Part Numbers Of The Blanking Plugs You Can Use To Block Up The Hole In The Frame.
Anybody Know What Its Is Or What Bike Its From?

Finally did a breather mod to my 05 Fe450.
To connect the two vent outlets a 3/4" heater hose adapter was sourced from NAPA Auto Parts, P.N. 9935.
To plumb from the valve cover spigots to the T adapter I had some old water cooling hose from a 1983 YZ250 which I cut up in order to have a...
I've searched the site...I'm afraid I have a few questions about the crankcase breather.
1. The valve cover has 2 hoses that join into a big, funny shaped piece. How/what is needed to modify?
2. Anybody have pictures?
3. Part numbers for any of the solutions???
Thank you in advance.
My bike had the breather modded so that it does not connect to the frame anymore, but is cut instead, connected with a wire to the hose coming down from the frame and a piece of foam inserted in it.
What is it good for, what are the pros and cons? It's seems that it's a piece of foam I'll...
I just put a new (refurb) head on my FE 400. It started right up, and sounds good, but it's pumping water out of the weep hole that is in the head. This hole appears to be a small hole that leads to the cam bearing between the two O-rings that separate the oil side from the water side. I put...
Hey guys I have the small aux tank under my seat but the brain surgeon that designed it put the breather pipe hole at the lowest point on the top. So if the bike sits in the sun and the fuel expands the fuel pisses out. Has anyone re positioned this breather or made any modifications so the tank...
Thanks to UHE for posting tech info about the breather. Sure enough, I got my 'Berg upside down on a hill, running, and choked down enough oil to foul the plug.
Reading the tech reports told me what the problem was and how to fix it but not "what filter to use on the end of the...
On thumper talk, a fellow mentioned that the breather was updated on the 04 models. States that the bikes use less oil with the 04 system and the 04 system can be retrofitted to the older bikes. Anyone familiar with this and what is the difference in the 04 breather?
Thanks Dan
ok so it's routing but i don't want to hear you americans abusing the english language with raow-ting. it's rooting lads ok!
what the hell am i on about i don't even speak it moyself bewyz

I have a 2000 fc600.I'm changing the water pump seals right know.I noticed that the breather on top of the valve cover just has a hose that plumbs into the air plenum of the frame. This seems odd that this goes back too the intake unfiltered. There is very very little oil from this going in the...
