ok, ... i have gone through all 10 pages on this forum ... but im still seriously confused in what i need ... i have a 2001 400FE with a 501 engine in it ... it has 13t front and 48t rear sprockets with enduro tyres/rims ,... i want to run SM wheels i will only use the bike for the odd sunday...

Follow on from Metal bits post. Removed the cam tensioner and it is all the way out, removed the plastic bit and that looks to be perfect / new ?? Is the cam chain streched? how much play should it have? Cheers Mike.

On oil change there was a lot of filings + blue plastic in the mesh filter, having removed the clutch side cover I found that a tooth from the cam gear was missing, found it lying in the bottom of the casing. Question is are all the fliings from this or do I have other problems? I can only post...
