Will 2011 Berg's be street legal in Calif ?

Does anybody have any insight?

I would sell my '08 TE 510 Husky in a heartbeat.......

I would buy one tomorrow if they were CA. street legal...............until then I will continue hanging on in quiet desperation......

I thought, Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way?

Not Escondidian!

Each day we don't get our CA. plated bikes we are...............shorter of breath and one day closer to death............

You know some good trails up off of Hwy 33 mhambone?
I would be coming from Seaward Ave.
The Ortega trail closed?

Pollo

Never rode off of hwy 33 except Ballinger Canyon, which is small and not so great. Is Ortega trail the one that used to go from Ojai to Gorman? if so, I think that has been closed for years. We normally ride out by Ridgecrest, my friend has a cabin out that way. or we ride at Charlies Place (Wagon Wheel) or Searles Station, also out that way. Sometimes we will do California City when people in the group ***** about distance away from home. The closest legal riding to Oxnard would be Gorman (Hungry Valley) or Rowher Flats.

Yea, it would be about "Time" for Husaberg to make a CA-Legal Dualsport.

Oops.............. Thought I'd something more to say ........

You might be waiting for awhile.
Sure do love my plated 05 sixfiddy though.
Rowher still open? I thought it was fenced off.
Check it out mhambone. I've been to Ballinger and yes it's kinda boring.
And when you go up 33 I believe Ortega was off to the west.

But as you head on up 33 and come up over the mountain, you end up coming
down that grade. Ballinger is further up past Lockwood Valley Rd.
But before you come towards Lockwood which will head you toward Frazier and Gorman
there is Yellow Jacket OHV a few miles before. I rode this trail over 5 years ago.
Don't know if it's still open but its 7N15 and parallels lockwood for several miles andconnects to
either 7N11 or 7N03 which lead back into Lockwood valley rd.
There are other fork offs there too. Very fun trails mostly Blue and Green Diamond.
A few steep twisty climbs there also.

Thanks! There's also some good riding in Drinkwater. Hope it opens as well
I ride with a friend in Simi sometimes which is my home town.
This is especially good news for him as I am residing here in San Diego

I used to live in Simi on Ish Drive behind the Honda shop.

Did you know Maico Bill?

Not personally, but I know some that did.
Ish street. Not to far from Hi drive where some friends lived.
Lived my first year in Buena park then Simi Valley at Sycamore and
Alamo and later near Tapo Canyon and Avenida Simi.

Do you remember that track in Eastern Simi? Hopetown was the name because
Bob Hope owned the land.
And then the track in western Simi? It was called Munts.

Since we are now in May 2010, any extra info on if 2011 Berg's will be street legal? If not in CA, will they be street legal in other states??

Maybe they don't want to say "yes" as all the 2010s will just sit then as guys wait for the 2011s.

Don't you fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way, get the 2010 model it's perfect :D

My dealer said the 2011s will be 50 state street legal - and yes, that include the People's Republik of Kalifornia. :D

June 2010 is when I heard that the 2011 models will hit the showroom floors.

Clay hinted that 570 will be 50 state legal but look what happened to him.

i'm reallyreallyreally hoping the 450 is street legal, the 570 is probably too much for the ultra tight technical stuff i do at speed...

Davo - having a plate would make a 2010 perfect! :D Without it, my riding options are more limited.

Number9 - I am new here ... what happened to Clay? (Did some searches, saw tons of excellent post from him, but still not sure what happened)

CodeMonkey - thanks for the info, I really hope your dealer is right! :)

I predict in 2011 any form of fun will be banned in Calif, especially Bergs....... :D
