Why the sudden barrage of dirttrack material you ask?

Some amongst the Husaberg / BMG rank and file (not naming names) are sniffing around regarding dirttrack chassis geometry.

Why now?

Could it possibly have to do with KTM's involvement in dirttrack and their recent string of less than stellar performance?

Perhaps the Husqvarna Dirttrack Program has had some influence.

In any event, it seems only fitting to let the powers that be know how the dirttrack community is put together.

It's a pride thing!

as usual lineaweaver - a riddle wrapped inside an enigma :? :?

they just won't play ball fella!

i tell you what (what!) in our short track infancy the speedway frames weighing zilch are having a battle with big 650 huseys etc straight from the SM showroom floor.

to get a 650 handling in a speedway chassis or a proper FT frame would wipe the floor over here!

don't you sometimes wish, even a teeny bit, that you weren't a bit more of an entrepenuer and less a tuning svengali awaiting his next husey fix?

c'mon now - tell the truth!!!!

The truth you say? "You Can't handle The Truth!" LOL

Seriously, the truth is I enjoy being me.

I have managed to scratch out a living without so much as a smooch of anyones butt for nearly three decades.

Albeit not always profitable It really is quite rewarding to be me. :D

Hope this clears things up a bit.

Sign me Lineaweaver. Capital "L". It is a respect thing. Of course you already know that taffy as you capitalized your name. :D

As for playing ball. "They" want to play and have been. "They" simply do not wish for the public to know about it. You would be surprised how many Husaberg "race engines" have my hardware installed.

If "they" really piss me off I may just write a "tell all" book.

Wonder what is inside that WEC engine. Certainly not a balancer. LOL

Dale

As Dale knows better than any of us, the very best way to make a small fortune in Flat Track ("capital letters out of respect") is by starting out with a LARGE fortune! There's little or no money to be made by even the legends of the game, but anyone who's ever stood by the rail at a mile when that freight train blows by knows it's waaaay more than that, there's a comradarie born of respect, a family of people who sacrifice much to be part of the greatest sport in the world. It's the only racing discipline I've encountered where posers don't exist, where the almighty dollar doesn't always determine the outcome, and where your fiercest rival will rush to lend you a part, so you can be in the "main", 'cause you'd do it for him. If you haven't been to one personally, do yourself (and the sport) a HUGE favor and go, you wont be disappointed. IT'S THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH!

I rest my case!

P.S. For those of you "outside the loop" (no pun intended!) The main reason those Zooks are tearin up the track this year is due in large part to the tuning magic/input of an un-named member of this forum.....(who believe it or not is far to modest to take the credit he's due!)

well if yer gonna quote me can yer do it dead proper like?

never use capitals except the letter T and only in the last word i type. it's a respect thing - but you were ahead of me again.

ever heard this one: "i only trust me an' thee" thee, BTW is thysel as thed sey uop noerth!

you've had better success at teaching me than most dale but i never get rose tinted BS smelling headphones out for my sense of touch.

given that you play amongst yerselves at most sports over there it's always nice to know the USA comes first in a group of 2 (sorry canada!). but it's only right and proper that one sport should finally stand up to be counted and it ain't rounders, it ain't netball and it ain't 'hand'ball (got an alternate name coz the yanks have a wicked "left of field" sense of humour!) nope it's the the old financial times, the ol FT o motocicles. damn i have to say just how much i wanna see it sometime!

flat track!

after the 2005 race i saw i will be over for it one day.

regards

Taffy

Us Yanks have Flat Track, you Limeys have REAL Road Racing (Isle of Man, North West 200) The grass always seems greener.....I plan on going to the IOM next year (100th anniv.) Should be a blast.
