While at the Midwest Fire & Police MX Races in June, I talked to a KTM USA rep who said KTM does not own Husaberg anymore .
If that is true, does anyone know who owns them now ?

BP

From what I know it is some sort of holding company that owns both KTM and Husaberg. But KTM being the larger part (and being more pushed forward in more then one way) I think you might get the impression KTM owns Husaberg. The same holding company also owns WP Suspension, I think.
But things may have changed with Bombardier buying 25% of KTM. Although I heard these investors are the same guy who own the said holding and that this was just some shuffling off stock

KTM owns Husaberg.

This is like a game of telephone :)

KTM owns Husaberg.

KTM USA is a separate company that has nothing to to do with Husaberg in North America.

RE: KTM owns Husaberg.

so in other words what KTM wants to make themselves look better they buy, suck dry, and than discard case in point when ktm baught Husaberg they legally stole their bike plans and have become popular again now they have bought into polaris and again will legally steal a great quad design then dicard them i hope somone soon with the money sees this for what it is and sues the S!@# out of the people in charge

just my opion sorry if i offend

RE: KTM owns Husaberg.

funny this should come up. was talking to a dealer in the uk and the subject of ktm running down berg came up. he went onto say that ktm aren't as influential as they once were with husaberg and that h'berg are developing ideas and then marketing them to other companies, ktm being the main but husqvarna was also mentioned, and this is giving them better financial independence.
where he got the info from or how true it is i don't know.

haha, a 'great quad design'

lol, that's retarded.

mberg, velosapiens was simply voicing his opinion of quads by ridiculing yours.

After some time here, you'll note that some of our members are not quite as tactful as they could be.

thanks,

Husabutt: obviously orthopedist doctors are not going to run out of business any times soon.

The issue is not with the vehicle but with those who ride them.

Quadders can be of help. One helped me when my son broke his arm by giving us rides back and forth between the crash site and the truck (I gave him $20 for his service, he was young and could use the money for bee.. I mean gas). Another helped me out by dragging my DRZ out of a mud pit (I could have done without his help but he showed up with a utility quad and winched me out, I did not refuse the help either).

They could be educated, that sure is true.

One saw me struggle coming down a technical hill (or what was technical for me at that time) and he decided to blast up in the opposite direction anyway (of course wifey was in tow and the only protection he was wearing were sunglasses and a baseball cap).

One gave me the middle finger when I showed him my fore index to signal "one rider behind me". (And no, nobody was behind him).

I don't count the donuts specialists or the dude who has to show off his awesome thumb throttle skills.

The good part with that type of quadders is that most of the time they stay around the staging areas.

Once in a while you see a quadder who is well geared up and seems to know what he is doing.

And I don't mind the occasional old dude with his wife each of them on a utility quad. Like the one who pulled me out of the mud pit.
