Whining noise

The whole bike! LOL

Sorry, I know this is of little help, they tried swapping all sorts around, and in my case at least we could not resolve the noise issue.

That's not to say that you can't solve yours though, I think a return to older "compatible" gears may be your solution

Did the bike have a e-start?
 
I was searching husaberg.org a bit to find out if i can just put a newer type primary gear (800.32.000.029) on an old crankshaft to get rid of the whine.

In an old thread (http://husaberg.org/forum/viewtopic.php ... 1&start=45) Dale Lineaweaver post this:

Late model engines no longer make use of a taper. The tension between the gear, shaft and nut is all that separates the load from the key.

Not good.

Early tapered fit had little if any trouble.

If I understand correctly I cant fit the newer type primary gear to an old crank?
Can anywhone post a pic of a newer (and if possible older also) primary gear??
