Anyone use VP C12 in a 650? My bike is jetted spot on with premium pump gas. I want to try VP C12 but I don't want to change the jetting...

May I ask why you think that the VP C12 is better then pump gas in a non modified engine?

I've used VP race fuels in my Husqvarna and it makes noticable power gains. My bike has a full Acro Ti system and has been jetted so it's not "non modified".

Consistency of the gasoline blend. Some blends have adverse effects on starting, running etc... summer blends winter blends... so many blends (15+) that you have no idea what you are getting from batch to batch.

I've used C 12 extensively when I used to race MX on a two stroke many years ago. Generally, C12 requires leaner jetting. This assumes that your bike is jetted correctly to run on pump gas. I have never used C12 in a four stroke. I have played around with VP U4, which is oxygenated and blended specifically for a four stroke. I'm too cheap, and unfortunately now, too slow to worry about race gas anymore. It is fun to play around with, though.

To those who say race gas is not needed on a stock engine, that's true, but if you want to use it there are benefits. If you've ever taken apart an engine that has run only on race gas, the lack of carbon build up on anything is amazing. You're getting a very complete burn. Consistency has already been mentioned as a benefit as well.

I've used U4 and really like the results but it leaves your carb all gummed up with sticky residue. That's why I wanted to try C12.

First I have heard of that. My best riding buddy was a VP distributor for quite a while and no one ever had any issues with gummed up carbs using U4.

Check out supermotojunkie or thumpertalk, lots of threads about it on those sites. I pulled my carb off and sure enough there was a bunch of sticky stuff all over the jets and slide. That's why the came out with U4.2, see the text below from the VP website...

NEW! U4.2TM
The latest generation of our U4 based fuels, this fuel is a direct pour-in replacement for U4 with little to no jetting changes required - +2 main jets and +2 pilot jets at the most. Makes power equivalent to U4 with no sticky residue and a less pungent odor. U4.2 passes AMA amateur fuel rules and is perfect for club level racing, CCS, WERA and AFM. U4.2 makes up to 6% more power than pump gas.
