tuned down for green sticker on 2010 fe390's?

im about to get a 2010 fe390, but one store told me they can map the ecu for power/closed course/etc. before it gets to me, another store that has one said its ready to go out of the box, and most of his customers just start riding it.

Yup! and they run like crap with the green sticker mapping.

I would say the dealer that says it's good to go either doesn't know what he is talking about, or it's remapped and he isn't saying.

well that just sucks, i was going to drive 4 hours tomm. morning to pick it up, i may have to give them a call first and see what there service tech says.

the dealer that will remap is crate and ship distance away, boooo

You can just send the Black box.... A friend of mine had to do that and he got it back in a couple of days.... Not a biggy.

It's very simple,

Tell the dealer you are planning on buying it from that you want the closed course map flashed into it as part of the deal. You're paying for it, get it the way you want it.

If they can't help you then tell them you will go to this other dealer who will give you what you want. I have a hunch that they will re flash it for you.
