Not ever being one to ever promote any product I can't help but completely agree that my experiences with amsoil products has been more than satisfactory. Several autos and many 2 & 4 strokers later the product has proven itself economical and trustworthy. Drain intervals of 20,000 with filter changes every 5,000 have proven to me you don't need to keep turning over low mileage oil in autos or cycles. Even at high mileage the oil does not smell or feel contaminated or broken down. Filtration is still important but the worry of broken down oil that has lost the proper lubrication and detergents is history within reason. I guess I am getting old enough to notice this kinda of stuff--Holy Crap

Do you use Amsoil in your Husaberg? If so 10W-40 or 20W-50? I have a UOA with some 10W-40 but it had quite a bit of fuel dilution, (2.5%), but my jetting is pretty fat... I'm re-jetting and going to do another round since it'll be cold here, (Michigan), for quite a while... When summer hits I'll switch to the 20W-50 and have a few UOA's run on that as well...

I use amsoil 0-40 aff in temps down from 15C and in streetraces because i need all the power engine can give.i use 10-40 mcf in temps on from 15c .i never use 20-50 oil because the electric start does not turn easy in the first start.i change oil in 10 hours use and after a hard open throttle ( streetracing ) at once.the amsoil is quart and i put inside 50 ml MILITEC1 to make it one liter in every oil change.last year i put in the engine one liter only militec1 in a steetrace with a very modified ktm 660.no oil at all.i was the winner and the engine was the quiet ans swetest berg engine i have ever hear.no damage at all.also i use a ready racing stanlles steel oil filter.

I couldn't find the Militec anywhere in Canada so I went to eBay.
You can do a search for item #7223000575

Write to the company and ask it.thy will sent you this stuff immediately.

I called Amsoil tech support with questions concerning the 10-40 vs. 20-50 issue and the response was that the pour point of 20-50 is more than fluid enough down to very low temps. I can't remember the number but it was so low I was not concerned and my winter riding frequently is in the low 30's. They also explained that the 20-50 motorcycle oil is designed to meet 15-50 specs so being a go by the book guy I chose the 2050. I have cold E started my fe450 in cold temps without any strain on the starter but usually kick start initially anyway without any thick oil related difficulties. Also according to the specs the 20-50 had even better ratings than the 10-40 but whether there is that much more benefit who knows. The which oil is better debate we all know goes nowhere but how soon the oil breaks down to me seems important. Not having to worry about going over a certain hour or mileage between changes takes the stress out of our stress relieving hobby. Ya know none of this really matters anyway since the only one who benefits by all this fuss is the 3rd owner.

Hi COTA.may be the 20-50 oil works in your bike.in my bike with 85 stroke the electric start is hard to turn on.Amsoil is the only company in the world compares oils with names i think.correct me if i am wrong.i prefer the products with comparissons.are the other oils company suckers ? i dont think so.if something from these was not true the amsoil will be closed at once.and the most important you feel it at once.the gearbox has more more easier changes and engine is more queit.does not mean anything this ?

Am i wrong is the only motorcycle oil has the GL-1 for gearbox soft changes inside ?

If you look at the data pages on Amsoil's webiste for the
10W-40 and the
20W-50

They both meet GL-1 specifications.

However, the 0W-40 doesn't say anything about GL-1

If you are a car owner and you want the best oil for car with NO OIL CHANGES FOR EVER you can check this www.synlube.com but be carefull.this oil does not works with wet clutch of bikes.its too sliperly.

I had previously read up on Amzoil but did not see a comparison with Royal Purple. Both oils are very similar in that they are group 5 base stock oils. There are only few true/pure group 5 base stock oils out there. Most so called synthetics are actually hydrocracked petroleum products that are now allowed to be called synthetic but are still petroleum base stock.

go to the begin of the post and read it carefully.download tthe g 554 and you will see the royal purple and many others to vs amsoil.look the results.because i like only the official tests not talks.dont you ?
